Does Your Interview Technique Stink? Interviews That Stink

1. He sat there and ate breakfast while conducting the interview. I was not impressed with coffee slurping and the egg that fell on to his shirt. But I needed a job so I took it and immediately started looking for another one. Who wants to work for a jerk with no manners like that any longer than they have to?
2. She answered the telephone 4 times during our interview. The last call must have been from her boyfriend or husband. She asked me to leave the room. I could hear her giggling and making love talk through the door. I left and never returned. What kind of loser does that during an interview? The director of Human Resources!
3. This guy admitted he had no knowledge of computer networking or server systems but was asked to do the interview since the department manager had a doctors appointment. I BS'd him until he knew he looked stupid. Then I got up and walked out without a word.
4. This guy walked through the store then through the warehouse while telling me all about the company. He never asked me a question . When we got back to his office he asked if I wanted the job.
5. I sat in the office waiting on the manger for an interview. The receptionist and I talked a short while about work, kids, hobbies, etc. When the manager arrived she went into his office for a few minutes. I could hear her telling him everything we had talked about. I was glad I had kept the conversation positive. I refused the job since I felt he was a sneak and was using her.
6. This guy calls me at home and we made an appointment for the job interview the next day at 10:00. I arrived at 9:55. He came in at 10:30. The first question he asked was, "How many times have you been late for work in the past 6 months?" Then he wanted to know if our appointment was for 10:00 or 10:30.
